A New Hope?

This is not a post about Star Wars IV, though that is also called “A New Hope.” When I first saw the film, the title didn’t make any sense. Then 30 years later George Lucas (not his real name, probably) made 3 more movies that chronologically predate this 1977 classic film. Then it made a little more sense. But here’s a puzzler: do you remember how they reissued Return of the Jedi and at the end it showed Hayden Christensen as the “force spirit” of Darth Vader, instead of the original guy? What’s up with that? I digress.

There is a new hope for those who have recently gone through a foreclosure or signed a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure to give their house back to the bank due to default. Fannie Mae has announced new parameters for helping these folks get back into home-ownership. Those who have a 20 percent down payment can qualify in only 2 years. Those with a 10 percent down payment can qualify after 4 years. See the whole article HERE.

Don’t be surprised if more loan programs continue to come available and this is just the tip of the iceberg. DO be surprised if Hayden Christensen gets superimposed over the “force spirit” of Fannie Mae Director, Philip A. Laskawy.
