Need to Sell?

So, now that it’s time to sell your house. Where do you begin? The first decision you need to make is whether to use a Realtor® to assist you in selling your home. If you are very comfortable with all the details of a real estate transaction, and know how to get your home a lot of marketing exposure, then you might be a candidate to sell your house on your own. If you are hesitant about your knowledge and ability to sell your home, you should use an agent to make sure you get it done correctly and efficiently. That brings up another huge decision: How do I find a good agent?

Who Can You Trust?

To choose the best Realtor®  to help you sell your house, look for a real estate agent who has two critical traits:

1. They know what they are doing.
2. You feel comfortable with them.

Over the past eight years I have bought and sold over 100 houses as an investor.  I wrote a Short Sale training course, focusing on quick selling strategies,  and delivered seminars to thousands of investors and Realtors® nationwide. I can flat out get homes sold – short sale, or not.

Even with my experience, it really doesn’t matter if I’ve been in the business for 10 years or for 10 minutes. If you don’t like the way I do things, it’s not going to work out. When we are successful selling your home, a portion of the proceeds of the sale will pay my commission. If we are working on a short sale, the bank will pay the commission. Either way, I only get paid on the day that I have fully succeeded in helping you sell your house. Nothing up front or out of your pocket.

By the way, statistically speaking, homes actually sell for more when listed with an agent than sold on your own, so when you look at what you actually net at the end of the transaction you still come out ahead even after adjusting for a commission.

Will your house sell fast enough?  

The Boise area real estate market is actually pretty healthy right now. Houses are selling if they are priced right. But sometimes you are in a crunch and time is a legitimate concern.
